Land Use and Economic Development Committee

In Los Angeles, land use issues are impacting our daily lives in an increasing number and variety of ways. This committee deals with any issue involving the development of land within the SORO boundaries, as well as the operation of businesses. Committee members review plans for new construction, such as apartment buildings, condominiums and mixed-use projects. Stakeholder input is both desired and valued, and is always included when the committee reports its assessments to the General Board, Department of City Planning and the Council offices. The committee is also working with business owners, property owners and residents to revitalize Robertson Boulevard.
